All these products have been great finds for me in 2012. I use them all regularly and can't wait to share them all with you...

This kit contains a darker wax product and a lighter powder complete with a small mirror and handy applicator. I use this kit every day. The powder is a perfect match for me and the wax is great for setting or creating a more defined look. For my everyday look I will use the powder and apply it with a small angle brush, then set it with a clear brow gel. I used to hardly ever fill in my brows but now I always do!
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish "Lightscapade"
When I saw this in the pan I didn't really think much of it until I swatched it. This is the perfect lit-from-within highlighter that isn't over the top. If you're hesitant to try highlighters or just want something a little more wearable day-to-day then try this one. It has beautiful blue, orange and yellow veining and combines to create a beige frosted highlight. Great for paler skin tones. This product is also buildable, so you can start with it being quite subtle and build it up for a more dramatic finish.
Nars "Orgasm/Laguna"
This combines two of Nars' best selling products in one neat package. If you are wanting to try Nars, this would be the first thing I suggest you buy. Orgasm is their stunning peachy/pink blush with gold shimmer. Perfect for a summer time glow. Laguna is a great bronzer. It's not orangey or muddy looking on the skin. It isn't completely matte but I don't think it's a deal breaker as the shimmer is very subtle. This is my favourite summer time cheek combination.
Elf Blush "Berry Merry"
2012 was the year of berry tones on the lips and cheeks for me. In Autumn and Winter I loved wearing Revlon's "Berry Smoothie" Lip Butter in conjunction with this blush. This berry-toned blush has a lovely subtle gold shimmer helping to warm up your complexion. I've heard this is a good dupe for Nars' "Sin" blush. I purchased both Elf products mentioned in this post from Crush Cosmetics.

I LOVE that ELF eyebrow kit. Like you, I never used to fill in my eyebrows but now I feel weird going out with my natural brows! I might have to purchase that ELF Blush. I am obsessed with blushes at the moment.
ReplyDeleteLiving in Australia, I know how expensive cosmetics can be here. Have you tried beautyjoint or beflurt? I am waiting for my order through them and I bought a bunch of MAC and NYX stuff.
It's so darn expensive here hey! Makes me want to go on a holiday to America just to buy makeup! I've bought stuff from beautyjoint before but I haven't used beflurt. Beflurt looks like a great website. Let me know if you're happy with the order from them and the quality of the products :)
